Boone

Playing in the grass, giggles, dirty fingernails, collecting rocks, tiny freckles… I’m here for all of it and so grateful!

The Melley Family

I am grateful for all the connections we have made through all of my husband’s crazy, extreme sports. Whether it’s mountain biking, Ironman training, or ultra marathon running, we have met some really amazing people. This family has to be at the top of my list! Anytime we run into Sage or Mike it is always such a pleasure! They are truly the most welcoming, down to earth people you could ever meet! They also have the cutest family!

Prom

Confession… I loved prom! I mean I REALLY loved prom! I went to prom three times. I was a serial prommer (don’t judge me). I think it was the idea of dressing up super fancy, hair, nails, going to dinner, dancing, and doing all the “prom” things. I’ve only had acrylic nails twice in my life. Once was prom 1991 and the other time was a miscommunication between me and the nail tech (story for another time). I was so excited to see everyone’s prom pictures this week! I love seeing all of the girls in their dresses. I love seeing the boys all dressed up. I’m just a total prom weirdo! I was excited for Ella to get dressed up and have fun with her boyfriend. I loved taking their photos together! Sorry for the overshare! Now I’m going to go put on an old prom dress and cook dinner. Love you guys!

Littles! The Sheedy Family

One thing I’ve come to realize lately is that as my business has grown and matured, so have my clients children! I shoot a LOT of teens and families with older kids (which I totally LOVE)! I’m super fortunate to have clients who return to me every year. Some have been coming to me for over ten years!! Photographing this sweet young family this week made me realize how much I MISS the little bitty phase! I need a lot more of this in my life!! Bring on all the toddlers and teddy bears!

My Friend Sherry…

This is my friend Sherry… she found out a couple months ago that she has breast cancer. She immediately started fighting. The chemo hit hard, but she’s hitting back harder. I asked her if I could take her pictures to document this time in her life, and she said YES! These aren’t just beautiful photos of my friend Sherry, they are photos of a warrior, a fighter, a queen. She told me at the end of this session that she has never felt more beautiful. That’s what it’s all about, finding your strength, your inner peace, and feeling beautiful in the middle of so much chaos. Sherry, thank you for being vulnerable and trusting me to take these photos of you and your beautiful, authentic, powerful, strong bald self!

Sienna | Senior 2020

This is Sienna Kloss. I’ve known her for many years and have watched her grow into the most amazing young woman. She is a senior at Cactus Shadows High School. She is determined, hilarious and compassionate. (and I have to add… incredibly beautiful and fun to be around!!) She is a stellar soccer player and is planning on going to college out of state to study Environmental Sciences and Psychology, while playing division 3 soccer. Her favorite foods are Italian and Mexican (specifically, quesadillas!) I know this girl is going to do great things!

Macyn | Senior 2020

Hey! Did your senior photos look like this? Mine definitely did not! I love capturing this moment in the lives of these young humans. I’ve watched this particular girl grow from a tiny baby, who used to empty all of my kitchen cabinets, to a beautiful, smart, talented young woman!

Summer’s Orange Sunset

Summer in Arizona is hot people! Like, scorching HOT! I somehow convinced Ella that it would be a great time for a photo session! We found this out fit at a consignment store for $23.00! I think it was a perfect compliment to an Arizona sunset!

Summer Revive – Unconventional Challenge

This was the series I took for my third Summer Revive challenge. It was called the “unconventional” challenge. The idea was to use one item purchased from Home Depot or Lowes. This is my oldest son, Tristan. He was THE perfect model for this challenge. He dog, Indica, joined us too.

Summer Revive

Summer is a pretty stagnant time in Arizona for my photography business. But, this summer I’m competing in a Summer Revive photography challenge. Every two weeks we have a new challenge. This week was the color challenge. My color was white. We had some fun with this and shoot and ended up shooting in three different locations. My kitchen, in the studio in my garage, and downtown Phoenix. Here are some of my favorites from this challenge!
